Cemstone-Roberts Concrete Rezoning Information: Updated Packet for Dec 19 St. Croix County Meeting Update: At the Nov 19 meeting, the Town of Richmond affirmed their recommendation of approval to St. Croix County for the rezoning of the five parcels owned by Roberts Concrete and operated by Cemstone from R2 to R1. The rezoning request will next be taken up by St. Croix County Community Development Committee at their December 19 meeting at 5 pm at the Government Center in Hudson. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –  Cemstone Ready Mix/Roberts Concrete Products have an active Rezoning Application currently under consideration by St. Croix County. The Town of Richmond Plan Commission and Town Board recommended approval of the request at their respective meetings on September 24, 2024. St. Croix County held a Public Hearing on October 17, and referred the matter back to the Town of Richmond for further consideration based on resident comments made at the hearing. Nitrate Screening Clinic in New Richmond September 6

St. Croix County is hosting their final water testing event of the season on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the County Services Center in New Richmond from 1-5 pm. The Services Center is located at 1752 Dorset Lane, New Richmond.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of free well water nitrate screening clinics offered by St. Croix County. This program is offered to educate homeowners on how to monitor and protect their drinking water supply from nitrate. Participants are asked to bring in about eight ounces of water in a closed container, preferably glass, collected within 24 hours of the clinic event. It is important to run the tap for 10 to 15 minutes on cold at full flow before collecting the sample. A video tutorial can be found on the County website. The nitrate analysis results are provided on-site, and staff will be available to discuss and interpret the results and advise further action as
needed. In addition, sample bottles from a water testing lab will be available at the clinics for additional testing at the owners expense.
