Cemstone-Roberts Concrete Rezoning Information: Updated Packet for Dec 19 St. Croix County Meeting Update: At the Nov 19 meeting, the Town of Richmond affirmed their recommendation of approval to St. Croix County for the rezoning of the five parcels owned by Roberts Concrete and operated by Cemstone from R2 to R1. The rezoning request will next be taken up by St. Croix County Community Development Committee at their December 19 meeting at 5 pm at the Government Center in Hudson. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –  Cemstone Ready Mix/Roberts Concrete Products have an active Rezoning Application currently under consideration by St. Croix County. The Town of Richmond Plan Commission and Town Board recommended approval of the request at their respective meetings on September 24, 2024. St. Croix County held a Public Hearing on October 17, and referred the matter back to the Town of Richmond for further consideration based on resident comments made at the hearing. Compost Site Update

Beginning Saturday, October 19, Town of Richmond residents are allowed to use the City of New Richmond Compost Site on a trial basis for Fall 2024.

To use the City Compost Site, pick up a permit card for each load at the Town of Richmond Recycle Center during regular Saturday hours, from 9 am to 1 pm. In addition to the completed permit card, a photo ID will be required at the City compost site, as is the case for all City of New Richmond residents. Do not attempt to use the City compost site without a load permit from the Town of Richmond. There is no charge for the permit card.

Current hours for the fall are Tuesdays from 4:00PM-6:00PM and Saturdays from 8:00AM-2:00PM
