95th St. Construction Update
UPDATED TUES OCT 20th
During the recent construction on 95th Street, two cross culverts have been identified as being in need
of replacement. The Highway Department is scheduled to replace these culverts on November 3rd and
4th . These replacements will require full closure of the roadway between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm on these
days. This notice is being mailed to those within close proximity to the two culverts.
The tentative schedule, subject to favorable weather conditions, is to replace the southern culvert on
November 3rd and the northern culvert on November 4th . This means that on November 3rd , properties
south of the 1750 95th St will be unable to drive north on 95th St during working hours. On November
4th , properties north of 1779 will be unable to drive south on 95th St during working hours. The
properties between these culverts will be required to access their properties from the north on
November 3rd and from the south on November 4th . A map of these closure locations is shown on the
back side of this letter.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these drainage improvements.

Construction is scheduled to begin the week of October 12, 2026, and continue until the ground freezes.
Crews will begin at STH 64 and work south, widening approximately one-half mile of roadway this fall.
Additional widening may be completed this fall if weather conditions allow. The remaining widening
and paving are planned for the 2027 construction season.
The project includes culvert replacement, roadbed widening, pulverizing the existing pavement, and
repaving with a 22-foot-wide paved surface and 2-3 foot gravel shoulders. The existing one-lane
railroad bridge will remain in place, as the railroad has not authorized the Town to make changes to it.
Following the dry summer, water levels in nearby ponds and wetlands are unusually low, providing
favorable conditions to begin this work.
95th Street will remain open to traffic during construction, although drivers may experience minor
delays during certain operations.
As work progresses, County crews may temporarily remove your mailbox and place it in your yard. If
your mailbox is removed, a temporary mailbox labeled with your address will be provided near the end
of your driveway to maintain mail delivery. County crews will reinstall your mailbox before the ground
freezes. It may need to be temporarily removed again when construction resumes in spring 2027.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these improvements to enhance
roadway safety and extend the life of 95th Street. If you have questions about the project, please
