The Town of Richmond Board will consider an increase to Impact Fees following a public hearing on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 6 pm. The proposed increase is based on a Needs Assessment conducted in the fall of 2023 by the Town Engineer, Stevens Engineering. Impact Fees are currently $2,000 for a single family home at the time the building permit is obtained, and are used for town road reconstruction. The maximum fee, based on the Needs Assessment, is $3,484 but could be set to a lower amount by the Board. Impact Fees are assessed to new construction only, they are not assessed to additions, remodels, decks, garages, etc.
