Notice of Meeting to Adjourn the Board of Review Due to Incomplete Assessment Roll: Town of Richmond, St. Croix County The Board of Review will meet on the 9th day of May, 2024 at 6:00 pm at the Richmond Town Hall, 1428 100th St. for the purpose of calling the Board of Review into session during the 45 day period beginning on the 4th Monday of April, pursuant to Wis. Stat. 70.47(1). Due to the fact the assessment roll is not completed at this time, the Board of Review will be immediately adjourned until Monday, August 19, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Open Book will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Notice of the next Board of Review meeting will be published on the Town website, and posted at the Town Hall, Bob & Steve’s Amoco, and River Feeds. VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT 2024 SPRING ELECTION – APRIL 2, 2024

Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may request to vote an absentee ballot. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen, who will be 18 years of age or older on Election Day, who has resided in the ward or municipality where he or she wishes to vote for at least 28 consecutive days before the election. The elector must also be registered in order to receive an absentee ballot. Proof of identification must be provided before an absentee ballot may be issued.

TO OBTAIN AN ABSENTEE YOU MUST MAKE A REQUEST IN WRITING:
Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for absentee ballot be sent to you for the election. You may also submit a written request in the form of a letter, or you may apply for an absentee ballot online at MyVote.wi.gov. Your written request must list your voting address within the municipality where you wish to vote, the address where the absentee ballot should be sent, if different, and your signature. You must include a copy of an acceptable form of Photo ID. You may make application for an absentee ballot by mail, email or in person.

THE DEADLINE FOR MAKING APPLICATION TO RECEIVE AN ABSENTEE BALLOT BY MAIL IS 5:00 P.M. ON THURSDAY, MARCH 28, 2024 FOR MOST ELECTORS.
Note: Special absentee voting application provisions apply to electors who are indefinitely confined to home or a care facility, in the military, hospitalized, or serving as a sequestered juror. If this applies to you, contact the municipal clerk regarding deadlines for requesting and submitting an absentee ballot.
You may also request and vote an absentee ballot on or after MARCH 19 in person at the town hall by appointment.
